Wall Mounted Laboratory Cabinets
How our wall cabinets are built
Wall mounted cabinets provide additional overbench storage and are offered with either solid MDF, hinged or sliding glass doors.
All cabinets are available without doors if preferred. Consideration should be given to the load-bearing capability of supporting walls.
As with all of our furniture, cabinets are made to order in our own facility in Essex. We do not deliver flatpack to ensure the quality of assembly.
Parametric designs enable most cabinet designs to be freely sized, within manufacturing bounds, to suit the installation. For more information on our cabinetry offerings including Wall units, see the cabinetry section on page 20 of the Technical Brochure or contact us.
Where wall storage suits
Wall cabinets recover overbench space that would otherwise be unused, which matters most in compact laboratories where the floor area is already committed. Sliding glass doors are useful where a hinged door would foul equipment or a person standing at the bench.
The constraint is the wall itself. Substrate and fixings need checking before the layout is fixed, particularly in refurbishments and in partitioned space, where the wall may not take the loaded weight without additional support. We raise it at survey; discovering it during installation usually means a redesign of that run.
Where wall fixing is not practical, tall units against the same wall give comparable volume without loading it, and Cleanline benching includes a lower rail and rigidity panels for exactly the situation where the bench itself cannot be wall fixed.
