How our tall cabinets are built

Tall storage cabinets, often used to form end to end storage 'walls', offer huge volume in a variety of designs.

Available with solid or glass doors, fitted with full depth, height adjustable shelves, in single or double cupboard designs with combination units available featuring drawers or Gratnell trays integrated.

As with all of our furniture, cabinets are made to order in our own facility in Essex. We do not deliver flatpack to ensure the quality of assembly.

Where tall storage suits

Tall cabinets are the most efficient way to add volume, and used end to end they form a storage wall that doubles as a room divider. In teaching space that is often how a large laboratory is broken into working areas without building anything permanent.

Glass doors are worth considering where contents need to be identified quickly, solid doors where they do not and the contents are better out of sight. Gratnell tray integration suits school and college laboratories where the trays are already the storage system in use elsewhere in the department.

One consideration at design stage: tall runs are where chemical storage usually ends up, and cabinets holding anything that releases corrosive fumes need ventilating properly, or the fumes attack the cabinet from the inside.
